Cast iron parts

In gray cast iron, the carbon (C) content is generally 2.5%-4.0%, the silicon (Si) content is 1.0%-3.0%, the manganese (Mn) content is 0.5%-1.4%, the phosphorus (P) content is usually less than 0.3%, and the sulfur (S) content is less than 0.15%. The density of gray cast iron is about 7.2 – 7.3g/cm³, the thermal expansion coefficient of gray cast iron is about (10.4 – 11.6)×10⁻⁶/℃, and the thermal conductivity of gray cast iron is generally 40 – 50W/(m・K)
